Dentist Cerec Inlay

Dentist CEREC inlay is a modern dental procedure used by dentists to create dental restorations. The term "inlay" refers to a tooth replacement that is partially or fully restored, usually inside the tooth surface or in fissures.

CER (Ceramic Reconstruction) technology is a CAD/CAM system that allows dentists to create dental restorations and crowns in a single visit, on-site at the dentist's office. Using methods of design where the dentist makes an impression and sends it to a traditional laboratory for tooth replacement, CEREC can produce digital tooth replacements and fabricate milled ceramic or porcelain restorations on site.

The Dentist CEREC inlay application consists of the following steps:

Tooth preparation: the dentist prepares the tooth for the placement of the restoration. This involves removing any dead tissue or debris from around the tooth and shaping the tooth surface to fit the restoration properly.

Optical impression taking: a digital impression of the tooth is taken using an intraoral camera in the dental office. This camera takes an accurate 3D image of the tooth and displays it on the computer.

Digital planning: the dentist plans the prosthesis on the computer based on the digital impression. CEREC software allows for accurate planning and custom fitting of the restoration.

Fabrication of milled ceramic restorations: the designed restoration is milled by the CEREC system using an on-site milling machine. The ceramic restoration will fit the tooth exactly.

The dentist fits the finished restoration to the tooth, checks the fit and refines it as necessary. The restoration is fixed to the tooth surface.

The advantages of the CEREC inlay process are:

Fast results. Digital impression taking and milling are performed on site, eliminating the need for lengthy laboratory work or temporary restorations.

Precise system.

Aesthetic result: CEREC inlay restorations are made of ceramic or porcelain materials, which are highly aesthetic and natural-looking. The materials blend in with the tooth colour, so the restorations integrate imperceptibly with the rest of the teeth.

Durability: CEREC inlays are durable and resistant. The ceramic materials are of high quality, resistant to abrasion and continuous chewing, ensuring a long service life.

Convenience: CEREC inlay procedures do not require temporary restorations or repeat visits. The restoration is inserted and the patient can enjoy immediate results.

It is important to note that the CEREC inlay procedure may not be used in all cases. The dentist must assess the patient's dental condition and the need for the restoration to determine if a CEREC inlay is an appropriate solution for the particular case.

As with any dental procedure, a CEREC inlay procedure requires an expert dentist to properly plan and fit the restoration and ensure the patient's comfort and satisfaction.
